This Hermit Crab is a voracious eater of nuisance algae and cyanobacteria. Plus, its small size allows it to forage and scavenge in the tightest of locations amongst live rock.
This hermit crab has claws of equal size and lives in abandoned snail shells. As he sifts through substrate in search of food, it helps clean and aerate aquarium substrate. This activity helps reduce substrate compaction and promotes beneficial bacteria growth and function. Ideally, the Hermit Crab should be kept in a well-established system with plenty of algae and live rock on which to graze.
To accommodate the growth of this small, reef-safe hermit crab, supply empty snail shells of various sizes and shapes. Also, feed dried seaweed if algae levels within your aquarium are insufficient. Like other invertebrates, care needs to be taken with the use of medications, as well as during the acclimation process to prevent pH shock.

Postage costs
Please note our postage differs a little from some others as our prices are slightly higher as we use poly boxes and heat packs when needed.
Please note p&p means postage and packaging with our packing costs being over £2 per parcel but we lose some of our costs to keep the price down for the customer.
Doa claims
All goods are sent on a next day delivery basis to ensure say arrival. We will be happy to replace any doa goods but you will need to adhere to a few rules to qualify.
We need photo id of the stock in and out of the original packaging.
Email of the doa needs to arrive with us by 3pm the same day of arrival all emails must be sent tocritters.corals@gmail.com
with details of the doa and pictures of the doa animal.
Please note we will either resend or replace the doa items depending on the value of the doa.
We are happy to offer combined postage please either email us for a quote on the items you want or just simply purchase all the items you require or request an invoice from us. Maximum postage will be £14.99 for next day delivery for a 20kg box.
