The Convict Goby is a Long eel like fish which is an amazing digger, and are easily one of the hardest working fish around. The Beautiful adult mottled colouration is amazing, as well as the characters these fish are.
Convict Gobys will not eat corals, though they may unintentionally bury ones on the base of the tank. Adults may eat ornamental shrimps and crabs. These fish require a Sturdy built rockwork and a medium to thick substrate as these animals love to dig extensive tunnels.
I find them great for shifting my substrate around.
The Two Specimins i have are about 5-5 1/2 inches, they are lovely fish with plenty of character, its quite enjoyable to be watching the tank and see two little heads pop out of the rockwork. I am looking for about £18 each or 2 for £25.
