  Goldfish tank shutdown

Description: I am shutting down a tank for my parents, which before moving out used to be mine. They simply don't have the time to give the fish the attention they so crave!

The tank, also for sale, has been a variety of different tanks over the years... A community, an amazon biotope, a high tech iwagumi and even a reef. Its a Juwel Vision 180 with no top, the lighting is a twin 150W twin hallide unit leftover from the tanks days as a reef, the unit has twin t5s also but its currently just wired to have the hallides on. Filtration is done by an aqua one aquis 1250. The tank is kept at 21ÂșC using a 200W heater.

It settled as a goldfish tank for my parents, the 3 goldies have been in the tank for around 3 years and have grown up in there from babies. There is a white ryukin, a black moor and a calico moor, all fantastic fish with loads of character. All in great health, with a lot of life left in them and all between 2 and 3 inches in size.

There are 2 hillstream loach employed to keep the algae at bay and a single bronze cory (john) with a very interesting back story. I know full well that 21 is slightly cold for a bronze cory and I normally wouldn't condone this sort of thing but he was actually born in the filter on the tank. The tank was setup as a community with around 10 bronze corys in which bred a lot. I stripped the tank, sold the fish and turned the heater down before adding the goldfish slowly. About 3 weeks later I was cleaning the filter out when I found a little baby cory swimming around in the bottom of the filter. In a rush I put the cory back into the main tank with the goldfish and kicked off a great friendship between the calico moor and john the cory.

I was loathed to tear them apart and until this day they still get on really well. So if anyone was to take the goldies I would really appreciate it if John went with them.

I am open to offers for the fish and the equipment but would take considerably less if someone would be able to take either the fish as a package or the fish and the equipment or even just the fish.

Hoping someone can give a loving home to these fish as I would really like to see them go somewhere where they can live out their days with plenty of space and attention.

Any buyers would need to pick up the tank/fish/equipment from S40 (Chesterfield).
