Hi all,
We have just moved our goldfish outside to their new pond so are selling our large aquarium, it is not that old and is in fantastic condition with no scratches to the glass.
This listing is for the Juwel Rio 350 litre tank and cabinet. It comes with 2 LED light tubes in the canopy, 2 internal juwel box filters, heater and various accessories. We fitted the second juwel filter box as we prefered the water to stay in the tank after an external filter disaster and needed more filtration than the one box supplied with our messy goldfish. We also bought plastic media cages sold by Juwel and customized them to hold alot of small alfagrog pieces which along with the many sponges Juwel provides made a huge area for good bacteria to live in. We could not find any other internal filters that hold anywhere near that amount of media.
We upgraded the supplied powerhead for 2x 1000lph powerheads so the flow was stronger and they filtered the tank more quickly, providing alot of flow for the good bacteria. We also have a spare 1000lph powerhead that we never used, so 3 in total to choose from. As the tank held fancy goldfish we never even took the heater out of the package so that is mint and unopened. I have included photos of various accessories including bogwood/slate rock slabs and all the media cages.
We have a large amount of Fiji coarse sand small gravel that can go with the tank if the buyer would make use of it and the only thing that the new owner will need to buy are filter sponges and alfagrog as we used those for our new pond filter. We have sheets of sponge which can be used and cut to size if required and a bottle of ammonia for cycling if the tank community is going to be started from scratch.
We have cleaned the tank to a good standard and can see no scratches at all, we were always very careful cleaning it not to get gravel in the cleaning sponge so are fairly confident the glass is unscratched but please dont quote us on that!
Buyer is more than welcome to view the tank as much as they like before agreeing to buy.
As for price, we would like £450 for the tank/cabinet and accessories as we have not had them for very long and considering the very good condition, filter addition and current market price for the tank it would seem a fair price to us.
We would only be willing to accept cash on collection for this item and not paypal unfortunately due to previous bad experience. The tank is extremely heavy and will need 2 very strong people to lift it to your vehicle and obviously in to your house. We are based in Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire and it will need to be collected from us only, we cannot send it via courier or deliver.
