Full setup including tank and all contents, hood and light, external filter and heater to go as one, please.
The tank was initially set up to home some rescue fish which were destined for the toilet as their previous owner had sold the tank but hadn't found someone to buy the fish. Now, after over two years, with my third child due in the new year, I need to reduce the demands on my time and one less tank will help!
The tank is an established low-tech planted one. The substrate is organic compost capped with a 3-4mm black gravel. Lighting courtesy of the in-built T8 tube which could be brighter which would aid plant growth but its done well enough for me.
The tank is by no means new but its sound and without scratches or chips. 92cm wide, 39cm tall and 32cm deep (45cm tall to top of the lighting unit).
The filter is well suited to this size of tank. Lots of advice would suggest that the tank wouldn't need such a good-sized external filter but more is always better. There is one tray of sponge and two trays of biomedia in there, a mixture of ceramic tubelets and alfagrog.
Current stock is (approximately) 2 Bronze Corydoras, 3 Black Skirt Tetras, 6/7 Phantom Tetras and one (camera shy) Congo Tetra. The original stock has slowly diminished over the past year due to age and the 6 of the Phantom Tetras were a recent addition and are young. Therefore, the tank is reasonably low on stock and there's scope for a new owner to add fish without needing to relocate fish. Please don't ask me about the plants in there, I have no recollection of the specific species. Clearly some are thriving where others are growing more slowly - an aquarist with more time may find it relatively easy to rescape and manage this better than I have.
Please do ask questions if you are interested, I will endeavour to get back to you quickly.
