The unit is full wired and there is no work to do at all. Just plug in your tubes. There are four SPLASH resistant end caps, two cracked )but you really do not need them/ The new generation of electronic controllers feature a water proof on and off switch and a glowing indicator that emits blue light when the unit is switched on. The controllers are quick starting and very energy efficient. T5 lighting has a higher output than traditional T8 tubes and is great for coral and plant growth.
