Description:
I am selling this large corner aquarium as I am downsizing.
It has a lovely warm beech/cherry effect cabinet.
It has a lot of water damage to the hood and lid. From the front, this is not really noticeable as it is a tall tank, but it can be seen from the top. There is also a small chip to the top edge of the tank glass (although it does not have a sharp edge and does not compromise the tank at all. There are some small chips on the front edge of the cabinet. These do not show too much.
The dimensions are: 88cm wide x 145cm high (the tank itself is 60cm high). The glass is 12mm thick.
The tank has been used for marine / reef and is currently housing tropical fish, and has never had any copper in it. It has been drilled to take a down pipe for a sump, and this is currently capped off but could be re-opened.
The auction is for the tank ONLY. If you wish, you may also take the silica sand that is currently being used and some filter media, so that if you are going to house tropicals it will be ready to use straight away without cycling. You will need a heater, filter and lighting.
I am selling the original T8 lighting unit separately.
I am also selling the fantastic Aquabeam combination that I have fitted to the hood, a UV steriliser and a Tunze osmolator auto top up - please see my other listings.
PLEASE NOTE: You will need a large vehicle such as a transit van to transport this tank, and THREE STRONG ADULTS to move the tank. I am not strong enough to help.
