Description:
Looking for a 6 or 7 foot tank, preferably 24-30 inch high and no more than 2ft depth. The tank does not necessarily need a stand as I have custom built a unit for it to stand on. I am not worried if the tank has been drilled for a sump as I will be looking to include this into the system soon. Needs to hold water (ie, no leaks) and I don't mind a few minor scratches. Filters, decorations, fish, etc are not required as I shall be using the set up I have running in my 4ft tank, however, lighting/hood would be handy.
I will have £150 - £200 at the end of the month but will need to take into account collection/petrol. So if you live on my doorstep (East Sussex) I can pay £200 if you're in Wales or the Midlands I may stretch to a tenner once fuel is paid.
Just to briefly fill you in, I decided to restock a somewhat empty 4ft tank 6 months ago, and was looking towards Oscars, Discus or Cichlids, the guy in my local aquatics shop talked me round to parrot fish, saying 6 would be fine in a 4ft tank. Now, on getting home I did a bit of research and was somewhat appalled to find out how they are created and the controversy surrounding their manufacture, also gutted to find that the two blue ones had been dyed. Anyhow, I kept hold of them, the kids have kinda grown attached to them and they do have some quirky personalities. The problem now is they're getting bigger every day and are fast outgrowing their home - hence the tank upgrade.
Anyway, thanks to all, any help with this, 6 or 7 foot tanks for sale or pointers towards anyone selling a 6/7 ft tank would be extremely appreciated, Wayne.
