Description:
Hi all!
For sale my whole community cichlid setup, genuine reason just gone off fish keeping and want to focus more on my snakes.
Equipment:
Jewel Rio 180, in beech effect, with (almost) matching cabinet. Almost good as new, few light scratches on glass but barely visible when full.
Removable lid with 2 fluorescent bulbs (not sure what they are, one is for fish colour, the other for plant growth) both bulbs and light unit replaced less than 6 months ago.
Fluval u3 filter (less than a year old).
Fluval E series digital heater.
Air stone and pump.
Lots of slate (currently stacked into caves but you can rearrange as you see fit)
Several plastic caves/hides.
Plastic plants.
Live oxygenating plant that I've grown myself, also some java moss on drift wood.
Nets, spare tubes whatever I can find.
Fish:
6 x Convict Cichlid (2-3 inch, 2 breeding pairs have already spawned atleast twice)
6 x Nicuaguan Cichlid (2-3 inch, not yet bred but one is now displaying adult blue colouring)
1 x Tiger Oscar (6 inch juvi, will need bigger tank eventually, ferocious feeder - watch your fingers!)
1 x Red Tail Black Shark (3 inch)
1 x Common Pleco (4 inch)
1 x Zebra Snail (keep laying eggs but only hatch in brackish water)
Never had any trouble with fish fighting, there's plenty of plants and hides to cut line of sight. Occasional bluffing occurs between the smaller cichlids but that's all. They've all been in the same setup together since they were fry and there has been no injuries or casualties.
Collection from Epsom, Surrey.
Viewings welcome but will require advance notice.
You will need a large car or van and some strong people. Although I got it into my Peugeot 206 hatchback by collapsing the back seats.
I will need advance warning to empty the tank and bag up the fish.
£200 ovno
