Description:
Calcareous Tufa rock is commonly found on cliffs, caves and quarry faces where limestone is naturally occurring. Tufa is formed when water evaporates from lime rich waters, leaving calcite (calcium carbonate) to crystallize.
Tufa rock is very porous and therefore light.
