Description:
This is a beautiful tank and I'm really sad to see it go. I've had it for two years and am only selling because I'm moving abroad at the end of the year.
It is a 420 litre 5 ft tank with a sump that holds an additional 60 litres. The glass is in good condition, no noticible scratches, just light ones conducive with cleaning. The glass canopy did hold four flourescent tubes but these all failed, this is a common fault apparently. I have been using some HD tiles and aquabeam LED's instead (not included).
The cabinet is water damaged, it is structurally sound but not visually perfect. The glass doors and lids are a plum/aubergine colour with a rosewood cabinet. I have never understood why aquarium cabinets are made of compressed chipped wood which expands on contact with water!
I have got photo's and can email tham if desired (I just can't seem to get them to transmit to this website - technophobe!)Otherwise check out www.vitrea.it where the tank can be viewed.
This is a heavy tank and cabinet, for that reason collection only. I picked it up in a Galaxy and it was a tight fit so you'll need something at least that size. You will also need at least three strong bodies to lift it.
These tanks were retailing at £1800 when they were first introduced. Selling for just £340.
