250L full set up (48x18x18) solid Birch cabinet

Description: custom made tank - 4 foot wide, 18 inches wide and 18 inches deep

250 litre capacity

Solid wood, I think it is Birch but it may be Maple, sideboard as a stand. this is very solid .

Comes complete with 4 foot luminaire, gravel, background, ornaments, net, timer for lights, external Fluval filter - just add water and fish.

The only reason this is for sale is that I'm emigrating and I cannot take it with me.
I am an experienced fish-keeper and all my fish were fit and healthy when they were rehomed.
This is my last tank to sell, my other 15 have already been sold!
-----------------------------------------------------
Good points:

rare sized custom made tank - made from 10mm glass - 250L capacity

Aluminium 4 foot luminaire

Solid wood sideboard - very strong and looks lovely

External filter - Fluval - in full working order

Loads of gravel - two buckets of small pea gravel

Tank sits on top of polystyrene and then on a piece of thick plywood on top of the sideboard

Tank is trimmed with cute fish design - see photos

---------------------------------------------------
Bad points:
It will need a good clean - I've given everything a quick rinse, including the grave,l but it will all need a proper clean.

The tank has been repaired - it has a crack in the corner when we bought it - the seller assured me that it did not leak but we have repaired/reinforced it just to be on the safe side. The repair is on the bottom and cannot be seen when the gravel is in - see photo. The tank does not leak and was in use until last week.

A corner of one of the doors on the sideboard has been badly repaired - I'm sure someone else could do better job - see photo

The lids are home-made glass panels - not perfect but they do the job they are intended for and we have siliconed a handle onto one to make it easier to slide across for feeding

I think one half of the luminaire doesn't work, but I'm not sure. It has 4 tubes and two switches and we only ever used half of it as it is very bright, but I do seem to remember that the other side didn't work - may be just a loose wire somewhere?

This is not a brand new tank or stand, so they do have some marks from use, but it does make a lovely centre piece for any room.
The fish design trim is stuck on with velcro at the moment as it makes it easier for the tank to be moved without the trim on, but you could fix it with silicone when it is in it's permanent place to make the trim fit better.

----------------------------------------------
The tank is located in a basement flat, so it will need to be carried up a flight of stone steps. I would recommend AT LEAST two STRONG men to lift it as it is very heavy, and of course you will need a vehicle that it will fit in - don't turn up in a fiesta like my last buyer please.

£200 or very near offer - collection from OL5 postcode (near Oldham, greater Manchester)
