Hi folks I have a shuran jetskim 200 that I have been meaning to get repaired but never got around to it . So up for swap it goes . It has the pipe on the bottom broke (been told this is a dead easy repair and it needs a new cap for the top of the skimmer cup .

All skimmers have venturi injector systems and as they are made of acrylic they are strong and durable and can be used safely with ozone. These skimmers can be used inside or outside a filter sump.
The Aquaflotor Principle
The Aquaflotor is a cylinder, which is internally divided into the following compartments: reaction chamber, riser, separating tube, reactor outer tube, collection cup.
The polluted water from the sump or aquarium is drawn through the pump and mixed with air and ozone (optional) via the venturi. From here, the water is pumped into the reaction chamber where a vortexing action occurs which mixes the water with the injected air bubbles. Any solids and proteins are concentrated and become attached to the numerous fine bubbles.
Proteins with lower specific weight than water are the first to flow upwards through the internal riser. Solids become attached to the already protein-loaded bubbles and also flow upwards. The heavier protein compounds are then moved by the water flowing into the separating tube, where they can be picked up by further bubbles, moving upwards.
The pollutants are finally passed into the collecting cup where the bubbles burst and form a highly concentrated foam which can later be removed as flotate. The clean, skimmed water flows into the reactor outer tube and out through the outlet.
Excess ozone gas that may not have been used can be passed through an ozone removal device.
