Dr Anton Lamboj—Collecting Cichlids in the wild
Best known in the UK for his connections to West African cichlids Anton often leads collecting trips into the Jungles of Cameroon, Nigeria, Sierra Leone and Liberia.
The first presentation is a little more to the east of these West Africa locations and covers Anton’s exploration of the Malagarazi river system in Tanzania during 2012 along with a quick dip into Lake Tanganyika.
For his second presentation we change continents and head to Colombia in South America which Anton visited in February 2014 to collect and document some of the vast array of tropical fish found here.
Anton last presented at the BCA Spring Convention in 2011 with his previous trip to Gabon, on past experience we can be sure to be treated to wonderful, colorful presentations of not just fish but the habitats they are found in along with the trials and tribulations of collecting fish in the wild.
