A minimum of space is required inside the aquarium due to this units compact size, and cleaning and handling is flexible and very easy.
How the Protien Skimmer functions: The water stream generated by a special nozzle of the INCLUDED Tunze pressure pump produces a fine-pearly air bubble mixture escaping through the easy-to-clean foaming cup via a newly developed reflection system. The protein-containing aquarium water diffuses into the skimmer through the opening in the bottom and on the side, and for this design reason the Tunze is very gentle to plankton, thus suitable especially for breeding aquariums.
This item was bought brand new 3 months ago especially for a Juwel Trigon 190 and it cost just over £70. Unfortunately, I was unable to use it without cutting into the Juwel hood and so it has remaind boxed. OK, I should have checked first ;-) I know!!! Anyway, this should not be a problem with more conventional tanks and hoods.
The price at £45, no offers, is fair and realistic given the quality of this skimmer and pump and the fact that it is new, boxed and unused. Instruction manual for the Tunze Pump and Skimmer are both original and included. Postage and careful packing will be £5.00 ... or you can pick it up.
