Complete Fish Room Clearance – Green Dragon Plecos, Shrimp and Four Aquariums – £350
Collection from Nottingham.
I am selling the remaining contents of my fish room and would ideally like everything to go together as one complete collection.
This started as a breeding project which became far more successful than expected, leaving me with more fish than I can comfortably accommodate. I am therefore offering the entire setup cheaply for a quick and straightforward sale.
Price: £350 for the complete collection. Sensible offers will be considered, particularly from someone able to collect everything promptly.
My priority is finding a suitable home for the livestock. I would prefer someone to take the entire collection, including the fish, shrimp, tanks and any associated equipment. Alternatively, I may consider selling the livestock separately before the empty tanks become available.
Green Dragon Bristlenose Plecos
The collection includes approximately 50 Green Dragon Bristlenose plecos in a mixture of longfin and shortfin varieties.
The group consists of:
Two established longfin breeding pairs, approximately four years old
Several adult plecos
Mostly sub-adults and younger fish
A mixture of longfin and shortfin examples
Green Dragons are a relatively uncommon variety of bristlenose pleco. Individual younger fish commonly sell for around £5–£10, with adults often selling for approximately £20–£30 depending on their size and finnage.
The breeding project became overcrowded as the fish continued to reproduce, particularly in the two largest aquariums. A small number have misshapen or curled fins, which I believe resulted from the cramped growing conditions rather than a genetic defect. The majority appear healthy, active and are feeding normally.
They would be ideal for someone with larger aquariums, a fish room, an aquatic shop or an interest in continuing the breeding project.
Neocaridina Shrimp
The collection also includes:
Approximately 100 pure Blue Dream Neocaridina shrimp
A second colony containing Neocaridina shrimp in various colours
The Blue Dream shrimp are healthy, breeding well and fully adapted to the local Nottingham tap water. Their typical individual value is approximately £2–£3 each.
Both the shrimp and plecos have good potential as ongoing breeding projects for someone with the space and time to manage them.
Aquariums
The following aquariums are included:
2 × Dennerle Scaper’s Tanks – 55 litres
Both include glass lids

All Pond Solutions ultra-clear aquarium – approximately 90 litres

Diversa aquarium – approximately 112 litres
Dimensions: 80 × 35 × 40 cm

Additional fish-room equipment and accessories may also be included with the complete collection.
Collection Details
This is a collection-only sale from Nottingham.
Due to the number of fish and shrimp involved, the buyer will need to bring suitable containers and have appropriate transport and aquarium space ready.
The livestock must leave before, or at the same time as, the aquariums. I will not sell occupied tanks individually until suitable homes have been arranged for all of the fish and shrimp.
Complete collection price: £350.
This represents a substantial discount compared with the individual value of the livestock and tanks. Priority will be given to someone who can take everything together and collect promptly.
